SET OF 12 MID CENTURY CHAIRS BY CLIVE BACON
This is an iconic set of chairs manufactured by D.F.C Ltd of Banbury London and designed by the award winning Clive Bacon in 1961 (this design won him best of show awarded by the "The Design Council" in 1963). Made from Beech and constructed with pegged tenon joints, the curved interlocking 'Z' recess frame top and bottom joints allow them to be set in a perfect straight line. These chairs were originally designed to act as temporary pews in churches for weddings/christenings and this is a rare set of 12 in excellent condition for their vintage. (We would consider splitting them into two sixes)
